The friendliest geek fest this side of Texas came to Newcastle last month for a robotic rollercoaster ride into technology, DIY and making anything and everything. The result of our ongoing consultation with publisher O’Reilly UK, the festival showcased their flagship US magazine Make to the UK market.
We created the UK/Newcastle themed brand for the event, applying it to all marketing material (posters, web banners, leaflets). Featuring the US invented “Brain Machine” glasses the main brand image idea was also translated into a desirable t-shirt design you could pull up over your head, turning you into a headless zombie. The main tagline for Make magazine was twisted to reflect the distinctive location, which together with the branded black and white stripes gave the event a unique local angle and theme for future events.

Building on our brand refresh for The New Art Gallery, we continue to update their printed materials with new and striking designs. These designs feature the new branding, including an emphasis on distinctive full-bleed photographic imagery where possible. This has helped to make them stand out from other run of the mill gallery promotional materials and has helped to drive a resurgence in visitor numbers.

Some more design treats we’ve created for The New Art Gallery Walsall.
Late nights at the gallery is a unique regular monthly night, opening the gallery up after hours for alternative music and arts events.
To give late nights a distinctive feel we applied our specialist made media and photography angle, to create a unique visual for each of the next three upcoming events. We added a simple type-based logo to give the series its sub-brand and combined everything within the new style we created for the main gallery.

We’ve been busy completing a brand and communications refresh for the fantastic New Art Gallery Walsall. We were awarded the work after an intense pitching process and have been busy developing things ever since, the first fruits of which are out now.
“Stereographic showed a dedication to fresh thinking and presented designs that will really help to move the gallery forward towards our ten year anniversary.” Hollie Latham, Marketing and Development Manager.
There will be lots of design and ideas to come as we develop more and more parts of their communications, so watch this space.
